The National Investigation Agency (NIA) executed coordinated raids on Tuesday across eight states in connection with the ISIS case in Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh. This investigation pertains to the recruitment of vulnerable youth into the organization via social media and the use of IEDs to spread terror, as reported by officials.
During the extensive searches conducted at 16 locations, authorities seized numerous digital devices, documents, cash, and other incriminating materials. A statement from the investigative agency indicated that the NIA collaborated with the Andhra Pradesh police to meticulously plan these searches, which took place in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, and Delhi.
This operation marks a significant step by the NIA towards dismantling terrorist networks in India. The raids occurred less than a month after the arrest of a key suspect linked to the Vizianagaram ISIS conspiracy case.
